SPRIND at re:publica! Europe’s largest festival for the digital society brings together thought leaders, innovators, and institutions from politics, technology, and civil society. In SPRIND’s toolkit: the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI-Wallet).

Together with the Federal Ministry for Digital and State Modernization (BMDS) and the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), Dr. Torsten Lodderstedt will present a moderated keynote exploring how political vision, technological security, and a bold culture of innovation can come together to create infrastructure that belongs to everyone — securing Europe’s digital sovereignty. The festival for tech, business and art stands for Central German innovation, creativity and maker spirit - and offers founders, start-ups, companies and creatives a platform for supra-regional networking, knowledge transfer and inspiring exchange in the historic location of Leipzig's Baumwollspinnerei.

Thomas Ramge, host of the SPRIND podcast, will discuss live on site with Prof. Dr. Heidemarie Krüger, Head of the Quantum Detection Research Department at the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (Leibniz IPHT), how a neuromorphic chip could support the industry. He will also talk to Markus Zweckstetter, research group leader, professor at the University of Göttingen and group leader at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases, about his promising Alzheimer's research.

European Spinoff Summit 2025

The Spinoff Summit 2025 is an exclusive event for research-oriented founders and deep-tech innovators. Co-hosted by SPRIND, the event will bring together around 150 selected participants from across Europe to network with investors and experts, gain insights from successful spinoffs and discuss how more research can be translated into entrepreneurial solutions. The program includes workshops, 1-on-1 meetings, and a poster competition with the opportunity to win a ticket to the Falling Walls Conference, valued at €3,000.

Prototyping workshop for a learning school system at FUTUROMUNDO

The project Mein Bildungsraum by SPRIND invites interdisciplinary teams comprised of professionals from schools, IT, design and data management, to develop solutions for the education system of the future in a colllaborative innovation sprint. During the FUTUROMUNDO conference in Stuttgart on July 3 and 4, 2025, teams will form from the workshop participants. Within a single day, they will develop prototypes for components of a modern education system in various categories.
