As part of SPRIND – The Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation, we are looking for forward-thinking technology experts who can navigate seamlessly between strategy, implementation, and communication, and who want to shape the digital future of education with us.
Your role:
As a DevOps / Platform Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our digital education platform.
You will manage our cloud infrastructure, ensure security and compliance, and enable a stable, efficient environment that powers one of Germany’s most important digital education initiatives.
What you will achieve:
- Take ownership of managing and monitoring cloud infrastructure
 - Ensure platform security and compliance with relevant standards
 - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage redundancy and backup for critical infrastucture like Databases and Encryption keys
 - Manage the production readiness of Node and Java-based
applications, handling nation-level traffic and critical operations - Collaborate closely with development and product teams to optimize performance and reliability
 - Drive continuous improvement across deployment, automation, and monitoring processes
 
How you convince us:
- Several years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering
 - Strong knowledge of CDN, WAF, cloud services and self-hosted infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, StackIT) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jenkins)
 - Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and incident management
 - Experience in setting up SLAs and SLOs as well as experience with Authentication Protocols like oAuth, mTLS etc.
 - Familiarity with security and compliance in cloud environments
 - Excellent command of English; German language skills are an advantage
 - A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration
