We, the FabuLens GmbH, are a subsidiary of the Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovations (SPRIND). SPRIND aims to create new disruptive innovations in Germany. FabuLens aims to revolutionize the high-volume production of small polymer lenses, for example for smartphone camera modules, combining the advantages of optical precision injection molding and so-called wafer-level optics (WLO), which is inspired by semiconductor production. The goal is to enable profitable production in Germany, while at the same time reducing energy and resource consumption and the associated reduction in CO2 emissions.
By joining FabuLens, your tasks will be
• Commissioning, testing and pilot-scale use of novel facilities and equipment for highly automated characterization of miniaturized polymer optical components for high-volume markets
• Planning and execution of experiments and test series for the characterization of micro-optical polymer components using replication methods
• Preparation, evaluation and interpretation of comprehensive test results
How you convince us:
• Completed training as a PTA, precision optician or equivalent.
• Ideally experience in the planning and execution of experiments and test series as well as in the preparation, evaluation and interpretation of comprehensive test results
• Familiarity with optical, electrical, mechanical, and software aspects of device and equipment development or use ideally for optical components
• Ideally, background in wafer-level optics, optical injection molding, packaging, coating, electronics, or working under clean room conditions
• Open and result-oriented way of working in an interdisciplinary team
