ABOUT US:

SPRIND – Germany’s home for people with radical new ideas – is leading the development of a national concept for the EUDI Wallet under the eIDAS 2.0 regulation. Our mission: to build secure, privacy-first, and trustworthy digital public infrastructure. We’re looking for a hands-on expert in analytics and fraud detection to shape how the EUDI Wallet ecosystem is understood, improved, and protected.

YOUR ROLE:

You will help shape the emerging EUDI Wallet ecosystem by generating actionable insights, enhancing security, and promoting open, privacy-preserving data practices. You'll play a key role in balancing privacy technologies with transparency to the public to detect fraud, build trust, and understand how the distributed ecosystem is used — and where it needs improvement.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and operate analytics systems that monitor usage, generate insights, and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop privacy-preserving mechanisms to detect fraud, misuse, and security threats
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for development and operations teams
  • Build and support open data interfaces and public dashboards where feasible
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (security, legal, product, architecture) to ensure alignment with privacy-by-design principles
  • Create crash analytics and integrate with mobile development teams to improve user experience
  • Communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including regulators, civil society, and standardization bodies

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science or a related (technical) field or equivalent non-formal education combined with a strong, proven track record in areas relevant to this role.
  • At least five years of experience in data analytics, fraud detection, or privacy/security roles
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, privacy risks, and secure data practices
  • Skilled in designing scalable analytics frameworks with a strong focus on user privacy
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, impact-driven mindset

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • A chance to shape one of Germany’s most important digital public infrastructures
  • A forward-thinking, mission-driven work culture at the intersection of science, administration, and innovation
  • Attractive compensation based on the responsibility of the position
  • Flexible working hours and remote work options
  • Access to conferences, team events and a supportive work culture.
