ABOUT US:

We are looking for people who want to shape the future of Digital Identity with us. As part of SPRIND, an organization that is called the Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovations and works as a start-up. Our goal is to create new breakthrough innovations from Germany. That means products, services and systems that make all our lives noticeably and sustainably better. To do this, we connect new thinkers from science and business, people with outstanding ideas, special expertise and passion.

In the EUDI Wallet project, which SPRIND is carrying out on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Digitalization and State Modernization (BMDS), we develop and implement the German EUDI Wallet ecosystem including the national EUDI Wallet in an inter-disciplinary, agile, and international team. Representatives of organized civil society, business associations and administration as well as experts from academia are involved in a public consultation process that accompanies the project.

YOUR ROLE:

As Integration Engineer & Technical Writer, you will play a key role in onboarding relying parties and other ecosystem participants as well as translating technical, legal, and conceptual information into clear, accessible content. Your writing will help ensure that the EUDI Wallet project is well understood by developers, policymakers, partners, and the public.   YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the onboarding process for new relying parties, issuers, and wallet providers into the German EUDI ecosystem, ensuring seamless, efficient, and consistent integration.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously refine clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for the EUDI Wallet infrastructure—including white papers, technical specifications, FAQs, and integration guides.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive EUDI Wallet Ecosystem Developer Guide, designed to meet the specific needs of relying parties, issuers, and wallet providers.
  • Engage closely with ecosystem stakeholders to identify pain points, perform root cause analyses, and co-create effective, scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineers, identity architects, product managers, legal experts, and communications specialists—to gather, analyze, and transform complex technical information into accessible and actionable documentation.
  • Drive the continuous optimization of onboarding processes and tools by identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements to support sustainable ecosystem growth.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Technical Communication, Media, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in creating high-quality technical documentation or in IT integration roles —preferably in areas such as digital identity, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity
  • In-depth expertise in the technical standards used in the EUDI Wallet (such as the OpenID for Verifiable Credentials (OID4VC) protocol family and credential formats such as SD-JWT and mdoc).
  • Solid understanding of modern cryptography, security protocols, and identity management standards.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills in English, with a keen eye for clarity, tone, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • A chance to shape one of Germany’s most important digital public infrastructures
  • A forward-thinking, mission-driven work culture at the intersection of science, administration, and innovation
  • Attractive compensation based on the responsibility of the position
  • Flexible working hours and remote work options
  • Access to conferences, team events and a supportive work culture.
